Beavers Star Wins 2068 Pitcher of the Year Award Thursday, August 9th , 2068 Josh Simpson of the Birmingham-Bloomfield Beavers outdid his pitching peers this year and has been honored with the 2068 United Shore Professional Baseball League Pitcher of the Year Award. During his remarkable year Simpson posted a 7-3 record in 11 starts. In 74.2 innings he yielded 49 hits and 13 walks while striking out 90 and compiling a fine 2.65 ERA. He received 6 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Edwin de la Rosa of the Eastside Diamond Hoppers finished second in voting, while Justin Moore of the Eastside Diamond Hoppers finished third.
