Castillo Blisters Oakland Saturday, June 25th, 2067 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Utica's Jose Castillo made it happen today against the Herons. Everything came together at the plate for the 24-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Unicorns to a 16-3 win at Herons Stadium. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Castillo said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Jose Castillo hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. For the season Castillo is batting .348 with 54 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 21 times and batted in 21. |
