Manager Thomas and Oakland Part Company Thursday, July 21st, 2067 In an expected move, the Oakland Herons fired manager Joe Thomas today. The team had not been performing up to expectations, and it was thought to be just a matter of time before the move was made. "We've decided to go in a different direction," Oakland general manager Jeremy Usher explained to the assembled press. "We'd like to thank Joe for his service and wish him well in the future." The organization has been mum on possible candidates for the position, but expect to name a replacement soon. |
