3 Roundtrippers for Chason Wednesday, June 13th , 2068 Westside Woolly Mammoths right fielder Heath Chason slugged three home runs against the Oakland Herons at Herons Stadium, but couldn't win the game all by himself. The Herons spoiled his day by defeating the Woolly Mammoths, 16-13. "The loss puts a damper on the outstanding game Heath had, but people will be buzzing about this for days to come," Westside manager Stephen O'Brien. "That's gotta be some consolation to him. But knowing Heath, he would have preferred a win." For the game, Chason was 4-for-5 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "The first two I got all of them and it was no doubt they were gone," Chason said later. "It seemed like the wind helped it a little on that last one. I just wish Mother Nature had helped us win the game, too." Heath Chason hit a solo-shot off Ryan Detiege in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Ryan Detiege in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Elijah Gadd in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. This season in 24 games Chason is batting .353 with 13 home runs, 31 RBIs and has scored 20 times. |
