Goldeyes Send Wagner to Bakersfield

Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Goldeyes announced today the acquisition of 30-year old C Victor Gonzales from the Bakersfield Otters in exchange for 26-year old 1B Fred Wagner and $4,690 in cash. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Goldeyes, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams."
