Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Bowling Green Hot Rods and Great Lakes Loons.
Left-hander Jason Wengerd mesmerized the Great Lakes Loons while leading the Bowling Green Hot Rods to a 1-0 victory. In 6 innings, Wengerd surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. Mark Burrell, who is tied for 7th in the MID in saves with 13, earned the save for Bowling Green.
