Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Bees
Ryan Wright was superb against Cedar Rapids. The left-hander had a slider that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Bees victory. The score was 7-2. Pete Christian snagged the win in relief. In 3 innings, the left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits. He's now 9-1 on the season. Cedar Rapids's current losing streak is now 4 games.

Burlington used the timely hitting of David Hardy to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bees on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Burlington manager Ethan Isler. "Our pregame was pretty good."
