Snappers Earn 3-2 Win Versus LumberKings
|
There was never a dull moment in an extra-length game between the Beloit Snappers and the Clinton LumberKings.
The Beloit Snappers took Xavier McLaurin's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Ashford University Field. The final score had Beloit getting past the LumberKings, 3-2, in 10 innings. McLaurin over 7 innings allowed 1 run on 6 hits, while striking out 8. Their 54-69 record puts the Snappers 7th in the Western Division.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Amir Brewer? The 21-year old center fielder Brewer stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Beloit up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.
