Burlington Jukes Past Peoria, 2-1

Justin Miller was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Community Field. In fact, the Burlington Bees right-hander was instrumental in his team's 2-1 victory over the Peoria Chiefs. Burlington pitcher Andy George got the win, upping his record to 3-0. Brian Laderman got the loss. Burlington, at 70-53, holds down second place in the Western Division.
The decisive blow was delivered by Mike Koury in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old left-handed pitcher Tony Hendrix to win the game for Burlington. The home crowd went nuts.
"If you beat me, you beat me, if not, good things will happen," said Miller.
