Lugnuts Use Late Surge to Win
The Great Lakes Loons got a superb performance from pitcher Pablo Pena, but the Lansing Lugnuts still won the game, 4-2. Pena threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. The winner was Gus Alba in relief. His record improves to 5-4. Jake Young took the loss. Lansing currently is in 6th place in the Eastern Division at 58-66.

Devon Smith helped out the Lansing cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk.
