Bees Rally Late to Clip Beloit

The Burlington Bees picked up a win at Harry C. Pohlman Field, downing the Beloit Snappers, 5-4. On the mound for Burlington was right-hander Ben Hoffner, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Bees have a one-game lead in the Western Division.
Burlington used the timely hitting of Melvin Rincon to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bees on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Burlington manager Brian Zimmerman. "That's what Ben is right now."
