The Fort Wayne TinCaps and Great Lakes Loons put on a pitchers' duel.

The Fort Wayne TinCaps got a stellar performance from pitcher Miguel Montoya, who handcuffed the Great Lakes offense en route to a win, 2-1, at Dow Diamond. Matt O'Neal earned his 2nd save in 3 chances.

Montoya was in the zone all game. He frustrated Great Lakes hitters while giving the TinCaps 8.1 innings of quality work. Montoya threw 110 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 13 punchouts.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Montoya said.

With the win, Fort Wayne pushed its record to 81-45.
