Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Dragons
|
Behind the hitting of Tim Weiss, the Dayton Dragons clipped the Lansing Lugnuts, 5-4. Weiss went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs for the Dragons. The win puts the Dragons at 56-70, while the Lugnuts drop to 81-45.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Dayton pinch hitter Ed Selvage, facing August Wichsberger, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Dragons the 5-4 win.
"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Joel Bachman.
