Whitecaps Suffer 8-0 Road Loss

Dayton picked up a win at Fifth Third Field, bumping off the West Michigan Whitecaps, 8-0. Pitcher Donovan Gordon was a major reason the Dragons emerged victorious. Jimmy Amaral closed the door for Dayton, picking up his 1st save of the year. The 6th-place Dragons bumped their record to 60-67.
Caleb Wrightson helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 1-0, Dragons.
Said losing manager Noah Fourie: "We need to play with more of an edge."
