Dragons Beat Whitecaps, 10-6, at Fifth Third Field
Dayton took on West Michigan in front of a lively crowd.

The Dayton Dragons beat the West Michigan Whitecaps, 10-6, at Fifth Third Field. Dayton second baseman Jared Miller had an outstanding performance. He was 4-5 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The 6th-place Dragons sport a record of 61-67.

Caleb Wrightson had a big grand slam home run for the Dragons in the bottom of the first inning. With Dayton leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from Dan Hayes, who leads the MID in wins with 15, and swatted a home run to left. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dragons ahead, 5-0.
