The Beloit Snappers, behind a great outing from Ian Lowe, who is tied for 9th in the MID with a 9.0 K/9 rate, defeated the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 3-0, at Neuroscience Feild at Fox Cities Stadium. The winning pitcher was Lowe, now 6-6. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Jon O'Connor was credited with the save for Beloit, his 3rd of the season.

The Timber Rattlers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Snappers going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old left fielder Warren Curtis came to the plate. Curtis hit a run-scoring triple on a 0-1 splitter from Wisconsin hurler John Bridgewater. It was Curtis's 1st triple of the year.

"Gutsy performance by Ian," said Beloit manager Jeff Brock.

After today's action, Beloit sits at 47-83, while Wisconsin falls to 60-70.
