The Lake County Captains and Fort Wayne TinCaps obliged fans looking for a good time.

Lake County beat Fort Wayne at Classic Park, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop Mike Laudon. He went 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win was credited to John Forrester in relief. His record improves to 8-7. Robbie Castro took the loss.

Had Dan Lantz not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Lantz hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Captains.

Lake County manager Justin Hollingsworth commended his team for "banging out a nice win."

The Captains are now 64-66.
