Bees Use Late Surge to Win
Burlington designated hitter Aaron Wanner made his presence felt in the 7-6 Bees triumph over the Beloit Snappers. Wanner went 1-2 with 2 walks. He scored 3 times. Burlington reliever David Ferber picked up the win, raising his record to 8-4. John Grover was tagged with the loss. With the win, Burlington pushed its record to 70-61.

Burlington used the timely hitting of Kyle Gomez to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bees on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Wanner. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
