9-4 Triumph Runs Dragons Streak to 6 Games
|
Dayton starter Tom Canaday pitched effectively against the Lansing Lugnuts at Fifth Third Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 9-4. Dayton has 6 straight wins, Lansing 4 straight losses.
The Dragons got a big hit from center fielder Humberto Bonilla. Facing Lansing pitcher Josh Shields in the bottom of the seventh, Bonilla pounded a bases-clearing double to left-center. His 13th double of the season put the Dragons ahead, 9-1.
"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Canaday.
