Bees Suffer 4-2 Setback

The Kane County Cougars defeated the Burlington Bees, 4-2, in Midwest League action at Community Field. Kane County pitcher James Seager had a standout performance. The winner was Jen-ta Ruan in relief. His record improves to 6-3. Angelo Campos took the loss. Kane County, at 86-47, sits in first place in the Western Division.
Kane County used a clutch hit from Beau Fenton to get the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cougars ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We've got a great group of guys," Fenton said, "and we're having fun right now."
