Shorebirds Snatch Late-Game, 2-1 Win
|
The Delmarva Shorebirds put one in the win column with an opening day 2-1 triumph over the Rome Braves in 10 innings. The crowd at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium watched Jose Savala put on a fine performance.
The Shorebirds got a clutch hit from center fielder Josh White. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Shorebirds.
In postgame remarks, Savala simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
