Premier Player Named by South Atlantic League

The future looks extremely bright for Jake Agrusa. At the age of 22, many players are still trying to find their way in South Atlantic League.
Agrusa has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the South Atlantic League Most Valuable Player Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .328 this year, that's for sure," the third baseman said.
The Hagerstown Suns star also put up a .408 on-base percentage this year, with 132 hits, 32 doubles, 8 triples, 11 home runs, 57 RBIs and 56 runs scored.
He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 14. Derrick Hudson of the Kannapolis Intimidators finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Doug Armstrong of the Asheville Tourists finished third with 3 first place votes.
