Intimidators Get Past Hagerstown, 7-6
The Kannapolis Intimidators beat the Hagerstown Suns, 7-6, at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. Kannapolis right fielder Chris Frye had an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The win has Kannapolis at 2-0.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Kannapolis trailing 6-4, Frye jumped on a slider from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Pat Taylor and hit a 3-run home run to left-center. With one swing, the Intimidators had a walk-off win.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Frye told the Kannapolis Chronicle.
