Power Get One-Run Win at Greensboro
|
Raul Martinez pitched well, but the Greensboro Grasshoppers still lost the game, falling, 2-1, to the West Virginia Power at NewBridge Bank Park. Matt Corry picked up his 1st save of the season. Greensboro is now 2-1.
West Virginia used the timely hitting of Baltesar Rebouas to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Power on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We were in it," said Greensboro manager Josh Lex. "We just didn't score enough runs."
