The Charleston RiverDogs beat the Columbia Fireflies by a score of 7-3. Charleston first baseman Travis Posey deserved the lion's share of the credit. Posey went 2-5 with a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the RiverDogs. Israel Cardoza picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Nick Lynch was tagged with the loss. With the win, Charleston goes to 1-3.

With Charleston trailing 1-0 in the top of the third, Posey hit a fastball from Nick Lynch for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the RiverDogs ahead, 2-1.

"It's a long season," said Posey. "We'll keep working to improve."
