Grasshoppers Stumble, Lose 4-1 to Suns
Hagerstown Suns starter Mike Boyd pitched his team past the Greensboro Grasshoppers, 4-1. Boyd yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-1. James Richmond earned the save for Hagerstown, his 2nd of the year.

The Suns got a big at-bat from right fielder Mario Chavez. For the game, Chavez was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Hagerstown a 2-0 lead.
