Lake Olmstead Stadium was the site for South Atlantic League action featuring the Augusta GreenJackets and West Virginia Power.

Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the West Virginia Power and the Augusta GreenJackets. West Virginia won it, 3-0. West Virginia starter Matt Corry was in command. West Virginia reliever Matt Corry got the win, raising his record to 5-0. Bill Bilyou was tagged with the loss.

The Power benefited from an error in the top of the fifth inning. West Virginia was leading 1-0 when Kevin Kinkade hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put West Virginia in front, 2-0.

"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Kinkade.

The loss makes Augusta 10-7.
