Intimidators 2B Simpson goes 4-for-5 in Win
The Kannapolis Intimidators used the hitting of first baseman Joey Simpson to subdue the Delmarva Shorebirds, 6-4. For the game, Simpson went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. David Fuentes, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. With the win, Kannapolis lifts its record to 12-5.

It could have been a different outcome for Kannapolis, had it not been for Mike Sudduth, the 25-year old catcher . Sudduth contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Kannapolis up, 6-4.

"I like our moxie," said Intimidators manager Brian Turek.
