The Kannapolis Intimidators topped the Lakewood BlueClaws, 6-2, in South Atlantic League action at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kannapolis pitcher John Roche. The winner was Roche. He threw 7.2 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Jonathan Sharry. Steve Beier finished to wrap up his 3rd save.

Zion Taylor took Lakewood hurler Jonathan Sharry deep in the bottom of the third. His 2-run home run put the Intimidators on top, 2-0. In all, Taylor had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Taylor told the Kannapolis Bulletin.

The BlueClaws drop to 7-12.
