Columbia 5-2 Victors at Fluor Field at the West End

The Columbia Fireflies picked up a win at Fluor Field at the West End, knocking off the Greenville Drive, 5-2. Starting pitcher Mike Dulude was a big reason why. Dulude yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-1. The Drive fall to 7-13 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2110 season.
Columbia used the timely hitting of Terry Bibeau to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Fireflies on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.
"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Dulude. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
