Hall Paces Fireflies to 1-0 Win
|
Columbia pitcher Mark Hall did his part in helping his team beat the Greenville Drive, 1-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The loss drops Greenville to 7-13.
Hall made it look effortless. He scattered 4 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The Columbia right-hander encountered little resistance from the Greenville hitters. His season record is now 2-0.
"The old adage is true," said Hall. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
