Despite a great performance by Lakewood shortstop Tony Ayala, the Hagerstown Suns defeated the BlueClaws by the score of 7-6 at Municipal Stadium. Ayala went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. Hagerstown reliever Sean Trembath picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Alberto Arreola took the loss. The loss drops the BlueClaws to 11-10.

The game came to an abrupt end with one out in the bottom of the ninth. On a pitch from Alberto Arreola, Ryan Buffington hit a sacrifice fly. It gave Hagerstown the 7-6 win.

Buffington said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
