Power Defeated, 2-1, After Lakewood Rallies
|
Led by Chris Fahey, the Lakewood BlueClaws defeated the West Virginia Power, 2-1. Fahey, a native of Brooklyn, New York, hit 2 home runs for the BlueClaws. The winner was Brad Peluso, who threw 93 pitches over 7 innings. The left-hander was charged with 1 run on 4 hits. The win puts Lakewood at 12-10.
Fahey had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 cutter from Jarrod Speight, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the BlueClaws a 2-1 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Fahey.
"We did just enough to win," Fahey said.
