The home team gave the crowd at Municipal Stadium something to cheer about.

Eric Nowicki pitched well, but his team, the Kannapolis Intimidators, still dropped a 3-2 decision to the Hagerstown Suns at Municipal Stadium. Ryan Thibeault closed the game out for Hagerstown, earning his 1st save.

Hagerstown took a 3-2 lead on Jake Agrusa's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Agrusa hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Kannapolis pitcher Donald Delo visibly frustrated.

"It's always extra special to win at home," said Agrusa.

The loss lowers the Kannapolis record to 14-9.
