Akron Tumbles Again, Falls, 6-1, to Altoona
|
Conditions were not ideal but Altoona and Akron were able to put their game in the books.
Behind the bravura of right fielder Fred Trent, the Altoona Curve topped the Akron RubberDucks by the score of 6-1. Trent went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Curve. The loss drops Akron to 4-13.
In the first inning, Trent had a 3-run home run for Altoona. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Curve on top, 3-0.
"This game will humble you at times and you've got to buck up and deal with it," said Akron manager Juan Nunez.
