Baysox Take Down SeaWolves, 6-5, in 10
|
Erie got a big-time effort from pitcher Sean Dale, but it wasn't enough to keep the Bowie Baysox from winning the game, 6-5. Dale threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Reliever Jon Baker picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Bob Pusateri took the loss. With the win, Bowie is 9-9.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Bowie pinch hitter Isaiah Brown, facing Bob Pusateri, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Baysox the 6-5 win.
"The game of baseball will test you," said Victor Griego, the Bowie skipper. "This one tested us."
