Intimidators Drop Legends, 5-4
|
CMC-NorthEast Stadium was rocking after an exciting Intimidators win.
The Kannapolis Intimidators faced a tough opponent in Lexington pitcher Steve Walat, but still scratched out a win at CMC-NorthEast Stadium by a final score of 5-4 in 11 innings. Walat went 7 innings and allowed 4 runs. Kannapolis pitcher Tim Stephens got the win. He's now 2-0. Jae-keol Kahng was tagged with the loss.
The Intimidators got a clutch hit from shortstop Sean Henderson. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Intimidators.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Kannapolis manager Brian Turek.
The Intimidators, at 20-7, have a record worth flaunting.
