Suns Drop Tourists, 7-6, with Late Score
|
Hagerstown defeated Asheville, 7-6, in large part due to 25-year old center fielder Chris Boring. Boring drove in 3 runs. The center fielder had 1 double and 1 home run for the Suns. The win gives the Suns a record of 17-11.
Hagerstown took a 7-6 lead on Salvador Laureano's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Laureano hit in the top of the ninth, left Asheville pitcher Michio Ono visibly frustrated.
"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Laureano.
