The Asheville Tourists and Hagerstown Suns put on a pitchers' duel.
Mike Ferro never let the Suns get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Tourists to a win, 2-0. Neung-uk Lee earned the save, his 2nd.
The Tourists had to work out of trouble with no one out in the top of the ninth. The score was 2-0, Asheville. But Hagerstown, with runners on 1st and 2nd, had mounted a threat. Jonathan Blue dug in at the plate. But on a 0-1 fastball, Blue hit into a double play.
With the loss, Hagerstown is 12-16.
