Hanna Silences Rome Bats
|
The Lakewood BlueClaws picked up a win at First Energy Park, defeating the Rome Braves, 6-1. Starting pitcher Matt Hanna was an essential part of his team's success. The BlueClaws, now 13-16, have won 5 in a row.
The BlueClaws liked what they saw from Hanna. The 20-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Braves to 1 run on 3 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 4.
"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Hanna.
