Led by Justin Roach, the Charleston RiverDogs defeated the Columbia Fireflies, 11-7, in 10 innings. Roach went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 8 RBI and scoring twice for the RiverDogs. Phil Martel, now 2-4, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. After today's action, Charleston sits at 14-15, while Columbia falls to 11-18.

In the bottom of the tenth, with the score tied, Roach hammered a grand slam home run to win it for Charleston.
