Tourists Pull Out Late-Game Win, 3-2
|
The Asheville Tourists snuck past the Greenville Drive, 3-2, in 10 innings. Asheville pitcher Cy Olsen, in particular, had a standout performance. Jay Kelleher snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 4 innings. He's now 2-0 on the season. The second-place Tourists now sit at 19-12.
The two teams entertained the McCormick Field crowd with some good baseball.
"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Greenville manager Joey Many.
