BlueClaws Get 1-0 Win Versus Lexington
|
The Lakewood BlueClaws had to overcome a fine effort from Lexington pitcher Justin Richardson to grab a narrow 1-0 win at First Energy Park. Richardson went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Lakewood, at 15-16, sits in 4th place in the Northern Division.
Chris Liesse broke a 0-0 tie in the bottom of the second with a run-scoring ground out. It put the BlueClaws in front, 1-0. For the game, Liesse went 1 for 3.
Liesse told a Lakewood Herald reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
