The Charleston RiverDogs did just enough to secure a victory over the Columbia Fireflies, 4-3, in 10 innings at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Chris Williams. The win has Charleston at 11-20.
The RiverDogs got a clutch hit from catcher Steve Peoples. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right-center, to win the game for the RiverDogs.
"These kind of wins can be so good for a club's psyche," Charleston manager Brandon Lacey said.
