Drive Get 8-7 Win Versus Hagerstown
The Greenville Drive withstood a fine game by Hagerstown shortstop Matt Strunk at Fluor Field at the West End, to upend the Suns, 8-7. Strunk went 3 for 3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The second-place Drive have won 4 straight.

The Drive got a big hit from first baseman Steve Degen. In the bottom of the seventh, Degen smacked a 2-run double off Hagerstown pitcher Jose Romo. It was his 5th double of the season. Suddenly, the Drive were ahead, 6-5.

"We ground out the win," said Degen. "That's all that matters."
