Lexington Legends starter Steve Barney worked his magic, to help his team defeat the Asheville Tourists, 2-0. Ray Maier picked up his 9th save of the season. The win hiked the Lexington record to 24-9.

Steve More had a big solo home run for the Legends in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Lexington leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a fastball from Michio Ono and swatted a home run to left. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Legends ahead, 2-0.

"This team has the heart of a lion," said Legends manager Rich Freedland.
