Lexington starter Steve Walat put a stranglehold on the Greensboro offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Legends to a 3-1 win. Joel Wiegand collected save number 9. Lexington is second in the Southern Division with a record of 17-17.

Lexington used the hitting of Jeff Lance to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Legends on top, 3-0. For the game, Lance had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Walat.
