The Lexington Legends picked up a win at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, knocking off the Delmarva Shorebirds, 4-0. On the mound for Lexington was right-hander Austin McElyea, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the win, Lexington pushed its record to 20-15.

The famously hardworking McElyea handled the Shorebirds all day, notching 9 strikeouts in 6.1 innings while allowing 2 hits. McElyea, who is tied for 8th in the SAL in wins with 4, goes to 4-1 on the year with 40 strikeouts.
