Carter Roe made an impact in the 4-1 West Virginia win over Hickory. Roe, who is tied for 6th in the SAL in home runs with 5, went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Dave Bradley got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 4.1 innings. With the win, the Power sit at 21-14.
West Virginia used the timely hitting of Tyler Shepardson to capture the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Power on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.
Roe attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
