Tourists Tagged with 5-2 Loss
|
The West Virginia Power topped the Asheville Tourists, 5-2, in South Atlantic League action at Appalachian Power Park. The standout performance belonged to West Virginia pitcher and Oceanside, California, native Josh Mack. The winning pitcher was Mack, now 2-1. He tossed 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 8. With the victory, the Power record stands at 26-10.
Baltesar Rebouas had a big 2-run double for the Power in the bottom of the third inning. With West Virginia leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from 20-year old left-handed pitcher Cy Olsen and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Power ahead, 3-0.
"We did a lot of things right," said Rebouas.
