The Rome Braves had their hands full with Kannapolis Intimidators starter Preston Brandenburg, who frustrated Rome hitters while leading Kannapolis to a comfortable, 7-0 win. Kannapolis has now won 5 games in a row.

Kannapolis used the timely hitting of Victor de Haro to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Intimidators on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Brandenburg.
