Conti Tosses 2-0 Shutout
|
Jake Conti of the Lakewood BlueClaws overwhelmed the Asheville Tourists and walked off the mound with a complete-game shutout. He blanked them 2-0 on 2 hits with a total of 12 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"Jake was on quite a roll," Lakewood manager Xavier Turner said. "He gets great late movement and he doesn't give in to the hitters."
