Drive Solve Asheville in Extra Innings
|
The Greenville Drive outlasted the Asheville Tourists, 3-2, in 10 innings. Tony Hernandez led the way, going 3-for-4 for Greenville. Jake Schafer snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-1 on the season. Jay Kelleher suffered the loss. The win has Greenville at 16-26.
Hernandez had a game-changing double in the top of the tenth. On a first pitch sinker from Jay Kelleher, he banged a run-scoring double to center, giving the Drive a 3-2 lead. It was the 10th double of the year for Hernandez.
"We didn't let this one get away," said Hernandez.
